Shot Director Privacy Policy
Shot Director is a shot-timing and take-logging app for film and TV crews. It is built to work entirely on your iPhone. We do not collect, store or share any of your personal data.
What the app stores
Everything you enter, including project names, scenes, take timings, ratings, notes and crew or equipment details, is saved only on your device. It is never sent to us or to anyone else.
What we collect
- No accounts or sign-in
- No analytics, tracking or advertising
- No location, contacts, camera or microphone access
- No third-party services or SDKs
Exporting and sharing
When you export a shot log (PDF, CSV or text), the file is created on your device and handed to the standard iOS share sheet. Where it goes next, such as Mail, AirDrop, Files or another app, is entirely your choice and is governed by that service's own privacy policy.
Backups
If you use iCloud Backup or back up your iPhone to a computer, your Shot Director data may be included in that backup, under Apple's privacy terms.
Deleting your data
You can delete individual takes or whole projects inside the app. Deleting the app removes all of its data from your device.
Children
Shot Director does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
